The Lizzie Borden House
Lizzie Borden took an axe,
gave her mother 40 whacks.
When she saw what she had done,
gave her father, 41.

Frank and I stayed at the Lizzie Borden house on June 19, 2009. We were supposed to stay in Lizzie's room, but there was a mix-up with the reservation. So, we stayed in Brigit Sullivan's room.

After a womderful interactive tour of the house, courtesy of Shelly, I travelled back down to the basement. After awhile, I went back up to the front room and began to watch the movie of Lizzie Borden, starring Elizabeth Montgomery. By 2:30am, I was very tired from a long day of travel and retired for the night.
Is this beautiful, quaint home on 2nd Street haunted? I doubt it. Is it active? Possibly, but the spirits don't appear on que, as most of us know.
The overall feeling of Lizzie Borden's former home is very comfortable. I felt very much at home and wanted to just stay longer. The beautiful antique furnishings just set you back into a simpler time, in the middle of the bustling city of Fall River, MA.

Since Lizzie did not like this house when she was alive, I doubt very much that she would appear, in spirit form. I can't say the same of Mr. or Mrs. Borden. They just didn't feel the need to make their presence known, during our visit. Below are a few photos from the trip.
